The query that I contacted the customer support team with about two weeks ago via the WhatsApp chat has been ignored, and I am unable to get through via the helpline number. (I am currently at queue position 8, and have been for over half an hour)!

The ‘chatbot’ route seems to actually connect to a real person but only after 1-2 hours waiting. This led to the problem being solved. I have heard noting from them, been waiting 45 minutes for a support chat. After 15 mins playing with it I decided it was not for me sadly. Brainless, thoughtless and unresponsive customer service. Creates obstacles where there shouldn’t be. I generally like the breadth of security instruments the platform offers. But their customer service is absolute garbage.
I’ve been with IG for a long time and have tried other platforms in the past. There are reasons I stay with them. I cannot recommend IG highly enough as the premium supplier of international dealing services in the UK. Their customer service is also excellent.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions. What really disappointed me was the lack of accountability when things went wrong. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re on your own when your money is involved, but after doing my research I was able to recover my money. If you ever face something similar, just know there’s help out there, and I’m happy to share the steps that worked for me. Uploaded the app because I am looking for a new trading platform since im not happy with etoro and found the IG app dissapointing and not user friendly to navigate and fewer tools for newbies.

Installed the IG Invest app for android and opened a stocks and shares ISA. Was able to add funds and invest in ETFs and investment trusts. Note that mutual funds are not available. Was initially unable to invest in US stocks as the integrated W8BEN registration process was not working in the app. No response to attempts to contact customer support via Whatsapp or email.

My experience with IG has been a horrible one with poor pay, Just for follow my photo lead for a better alternative and a smooth amazing experience . Yeah very pleased on how things went regarding my account so looking forward to having a go with IG thankyou.
The assistant was extremely helpful. But it took over 15 minutes for the call to be answered. Companies on Trustpilot aren’t allowed to offer incentives or pay to hide reviews.

Phoned IG.com they were super helpful and managed to get my request actioned. They also kept me updated with progress and were friendly. All round good service, both email follow up and agent via a call were friendly and helpful took the time to go over the details while waiting on call.
